  • Colombia unfolds majestically in the northwest corner of South America, with seaports in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, and the Andes crossing from south to north. The country has a wide variety of environmental conditions and climates, from deserts to glaciers, with the biodiversity to match. Around 550,000 Colombian families live off coffee. Production in Colombia is mainly in the hands of smallholders who process their own crops. About 60% of national production comes from farms of less than 5 hectares. The coffee triangle in Colombia is famous for the culture of the majority of Colombian coffees. It covers four departments: Caldas, Quindío, Risaralda and Tolima. The area has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as a “Coffee Cultural Landscape” for being an outstanding example of a cultural, sustainable and productive landscape – a historic milestone for the country. The cultural landscape rewards the tremendous human adaptation to harsh geographical conditions and the efforts of coffee farmers over generations to secure a decent source of income for their families. Since the end of the 18th century, through their adaptation and efforts, coffee-growing families have shaped the landscape in which natural, economic and cultural elements come together and which is unique in the world. Thanks to their work, coffee eventually became the main engine of development in the region.

  • Lausanne is a Colombian coffee with a strong roast that will keep you awake throughout the day. Its intensity and strength will satisfy the most demanding coffee lovers.
